At Newkind Conference, we apply an intersectional lens that prioritises racial equity and cultural diversity when it comes to programming both our speakers and artists.

We understand how challenging it is for academics, artists and social entrepreneurs who come from culturally and racially marginalised backgrounds, especially when they also experience other intersectionalities.

Every year, we look to curate a diverse and engaging range of art and entertainment suitable for a family friendly environment, which not only showcases the true diversity of our world, but also inspires and activates social change and citizen-led community development.

Our artists and speakers are always paid a respectable amount and no one is expected to share their skills, art or insights for “exposure”.

The forms of artistic expression we’re looking for include, but are not limited to:

• Musicians (Soloists or Bands)

• Installation Art (Permanent or Temporary)

• Theatre (Performance or Workshop)

• Spoken Word / Poetry

• Arts Workshops (For Adults or Kids)

• Soundscapes or Immersive Experiences

• Film or Video Art

• Dance (Solo or Community Groups)

• Sculptures, Banners or Decor

• And we’re open to other ideas!

Budget

For the second round of applications, which is open now, we are considering applications for projects between $500 and $1500.

Closing Date

5pm Friday 18th April 2025.
Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday 30th April 2025
